Who is collecting the information?
Australian Red Cross Society (‘Red Cross’).

Facts and circumstances of collection
We may collect your personal information in a number of ways, including directly from you (for example, when you complete an online form or upload documents to a portal) or from a person that is authorised to provide this information for you.

Is the collection being made because a law or Court order applies?
No law or Court order applies to the collection of this information.

Why does Red Cross need to collect this information?
We need to collect this information so that we may do one or more of the following:

  • provide you with updates regarding the status of the remuneration project
  • send you documentation notifying you of the outcome of your review from the remuneration project
  • verify your identity
  • provide you with other information related to your employment with Red Cross
  • to process a payment if you have been assessed as being entitled to a remediation payment as part of the remuneration project
  • respond to your feedback or enquiries.

What happens if Red Cross doesn’t collect this information?
If Red Cross does not collect this information from you, we will be unable to keep you updated about the status of your remuneration review and we will not be able to make a payment to you, if you have been assessed as being entitled to a remediation payment.

Anonymity/ Nickname?
We require your real name as we need to verify your identity to make a payment to you, if you have been assessed as being entitled to a remediation payment.

We may disclose your information to third parties that provide services to us or who can assist us to verify your information. These services may include information technology organisations, government agencies, banking organisations, and organisations who provide us with letter printing, call centre, email and data analysis services. These organisations may provide us with other similar services.

Will my information be stored offshore?
