STEP 1

How to leave a gift in your Will

Your Will is an important document that should be carefully prepared. We can help you create an online Will with Safewill for $80 (usually $160), or if you intend to leave a gift to Australian Red Cross, refer you to a qualified solicitor in our Wills for Humanity Solicitor Network for $165.

Step 2

Decide your gift

There are different ways to include Australian Red Cross in your Will:

  • Residuary gift: Share of your estate after loved ones are provided for.
  • Pecuniary gift: A fixed dollar amount.
  • Specific gift: A particular item or asset.
  • Perpetual gift: Estate proceeds invested to generate ongoing income.

Step 3

Notify loved ones and Australian Red Cross

Let your family, loved ones and executors know that leaving a gift to Australian Red Cross is important to you so your wishes can be honoured.

Letting us know about your gift also helps us plan ahead and allows us to welcome you into our Friends of Red Cross Bequest Society.
