Solicitor and Executor resources

If you are the executor or legal representative of an estate in which a gift has been left to Australian Red Cross, we would be grateful if you can assist us in the following ways:  

1. Notify us of the gift as soon as possible so that we can amend our records to ensure that future communications are not sent out in the name of the supporter.  
2. Please forward a copy of Will and probate and let us know of further information that you require from us to administer the gift.  
3. If possible, let us know about the life and reasons behind the gift. We would appreciate the opportunity to sincerely thank family and loved ones as appropriate.  

If your client is comfortable, we would greatly appreciate being notified of any gift in their Will. Your notification helps us:

1. Warmly welcome them to the Friends of Red Cross Bequest Society.
2. Share personalised updates about the humanitarian work they care about most.
3. Invite them to exclusive events where they can see the impact their future gift will have on people and communities in need.

For many years, Australian Red Cross has partnered with reputable law firms to deliver our Gifts in Wills program. Through the Wills for Humanity Solicitor Network, participating solicitors provide Will and estate planning services to our supporters, including a simple Will at a reduced fee of $165. Additional legal services beyond a simple Will can be arranged directly with the client.

Our Network members value the opportunity to support their community, build relationships with referred clients, and help people leave a lasting impact through a charitable gift in their Will.
