Information for Executors

If you are the executor or legal representative of an estate in which a gift has been left to Australian Red Cross, we would be grateful if you can assist us in the following ways:

  1. Notify us of the gift as soon as possible so that we can amend our records to ensure that future communications are not sent out in the name of the supporter.
  2. Please forward a copy of Will and probate and let us know of further information that you require from us to administer the gift.
  3. If possible, let us know about the life and reasons behind the gift. We would appreciate the opportunity to sincerely thank family and loved ones as appropriate.

Notify Australian Red Cross

If your client is comfortable, we would greatly appreciate being notified of any gift in their Will. Your notification helps us:

  1. Welcome them as an honoured supporter within our Australian Red Cross family through the Friends of Red Cross.
  2. Personalise communication and share updates on programs that matter most to them.
  3. Invite them to special events where they can hear firsthand how their generosity is making a difference.

Join our National Solicitor Network

For many years, Red Cross has run our Gifts in Wills program with the assistance of reputable law firms. The role of our National Solicitor Network is to provide legal services and Wills advice to our community of supporters, at a reduced cost of $165 per simple Will. Should our referrals have additional provisions outside of the simple Will, these are to be negotiated on your terms.

There are many benefits of the Network that our existing members have experienced. If you would like to be a part of our National Solicitor Network, are a Solicitor, or would like more information, we'd love to hear from you.
