Divisional Advisory Boards
Each Division (being each State and Territory of Australia, excluding external territories) of the Australian Red Cross has a Divisional Advisory Board comprised of Governance members of that Division.
The Divisional Advisory Board is established under the Rules of the Society and delegated certain advisory, governance, promotion and communications roles to it by the Australian Red Cross Board including:
- Considering and advising the Divisional Director on issues of significance to the Division.
- Establishing and managing the regulation of Regions and Zones within the Division.
- Managing the recruitment, approval, and suspension of members in the Division.
- Promoting Volunteer recruitment and work done by the Australian Red Cross in the Division.
- Liaising with community, government, and business leaders on behalf of the Division.
- Acting as a key communication channel between Members, Volunteers and management on national and Divisional priorities and activities.
- Appointing a Divisional Patron and Vice-patron(s).
