Mental Wellbeing in the Workplace

For more than ten years, Australian Red Cross has actively offered and promoted workplace-based mental health training.

Workplaces are complex communities where each person responds to stress and challenges differently.

Increasingly, managers and leaders are needing to be trained and equipped for compassionate people-management.

Red Cross recognises that mental wellbeing is as equally important as other forms of workplace health and safety. We are committed to partner-ing with employers to provide relevant and contextual training for all staff.

Red Cross courses are available both online and face-to-face, and can be completed as a formal nationally-accredited qualification, or adapted for specific workplace contexts.

  • Create a workplace community with healthy self-esteem, cohesion and belonging
  • Minimise absenteeism and loss of productivity by building awareness of emotional needs.
  • Have an informed workforce who can recognise signs of concern and respond in practical ways
  • Destigmatise mental health illness and create a safe environment that encourages open discussion and systems of support
