Rising Women Leaders

Rising Women Leaders (RWL) is a community of passionate, like-minded young women committed to creating a supportive environment and increasing access to philanthropy.

As a tier of the Society of Women Leaders, RWL represents the next generation of female leaders – driven by shared values and a commitment to humanitarian impact. We proudly partner with Australian Red Cross, supporting its mission to help people wherever and whenever they need us most, as part of the world’s largest humanitarian network.

Structured as a giving circle, RWL pools individual contributions to fund vital Australian Red Cross programs. Our members (women aged 18 to 35) are at the beginning of their philanthropic journey, united by a desire to make a difference through collective giving and action.

Membership starts with an annual tax-deductible donation of $500, with 100% of contributions directly allocated to Australian Red Cross programs. Each June, members participate in a democratic voting process to decide which programs and initiatives to support in the following financial year. Funding priorities may include:

• Emergency relief during armed conflicts and natural disasters.
• Access to education in disadvantaged communities.
• Support for young mothers and their children.

Beyond financial contributions, RWL offers opportunities for learning, connection, and personal growth, including:

• Annual events featuring keynote speakers and humanitarian experts.
• Educational sessions with program updates and sector insights.
• Networking opportunities and community-building initiatives.

The strength of RWL lies not only in the impact of our donations but in fostering a vibrant network of young female leaders who are committed to building a better, more compassionate world.
