Our people, our supporters
Kate
Ambassador
Kate Ritchie has been a proud Australian Red Cross Ambassador since 2011 and decided to partner with us because of her passion, values and dedication to community and humanitarian work. Our Ambassadors come from varied areas of expertise and achievement, and are all committed to improving the lives of vulnerable people. Ambassadors volunteer their time to Red Cross and are in the unique position to raise our public profile, engage our communities and help us generate income.
This year Ambassadors supported a variety of campaigns including: Guy Sebastian and Kate Ritchie helping us celebrate World Red Cross Day; Julie McCrossin supporting the ‘Doing It Tough’ campaign; Dr Andrew Rochford, Chris Bath and Kate Ritchie championing the disaster response and readiness initiative and festive season campaign; Pat Farmer running through Vietnam and supporting our community fundraising initiatives; Guy Sebastian nominating Red Cross to be included in market operator ICAP Australia’s fundraising day; Keith Urban supporting the Queensland Floods Appeal 2013 at his concert in Brisbane and the Big Cake Bake Ambassadors for 2012, including Kate Ritchie, Chris Bath, Marion Grasby and Adrian Richardson.
