Our people, our supporters

Without our people and our supporters, the humanitarian work of Red Cross in Australia and further afield would not be possible.

Our people include members, volunteers, staff, young humanitarians, aid workers, ambassadors and international volunteers. Our members play an important role in their communities promoting our work, fundraising and volunteering in our programs. Our volunteers and staff form our workforce and provide support across each of our priority areas. Our Workforce Development Plan provides volunteers and staff with access to a wide range of learning and development opportunities, including both online and face-to-face training.

Our supporters are individuals and organisations who make financial and non-financial contributions to our work supporting vulnerable people and communities. From individuals giving a monthly donation or leaving a bequest in their Will, to major organisations encouraging their staff to volunteer with Red Cross programs, our supporters are integral to the successful delivery of our everyday work.
