Johnson & Johnson Pacific has been involved with Red Cross since 2011 – primarily through Good Start Breakfast Clubs – donating funds and encouraging staff to volunteer at two Sydney primary schools. In 2012, 27 blood donations were received from staff members, saving 81 lives. In addition, staff have undergone first aid training programs, implemented a Red Cross giving calendar, supported local initiatives such as creating and maintaining community gardens, assisted with the daily operations of local Red Cross retail stores and provided logistics support to transfer in-kind goods to a number of programs. The company continues to provide graduation gifts for the Young Parents Program and in-kind goods for migration support programs.

Partnerships with organisations such as Johnson & Johnson Pacific allow Red Cross to access a wide range of individual supporters through one point of contact, which can potentially provide fundraising and volunteer support for several program areas. Currently Red Cross has 40 business partners across Australia, who have collectively donated $1.9 million for our everyday work over the last year, as well as donations in-kind and skilled staff volunteers.
