The Recovery Capitals (ReCap) project produces resources for people, organisations and governments managing emergency recovery.
ReCap is based on seven ‘recovery capitals’ – natural, social, financial, cultural, political, built and human – and the connections between them.
It aims to support wellbeing after disasters, by providing evidence-based guidance on factors that influence the recovery process. It supports strengths-based, holistic and inclusive recovery approaches.
ReCap is a collaboration between the University of Melbourne, Massey University (Aotearoa New Zealand), Australian Red Cross, and other researchers, government and non-government agencies and organisations from across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
