The SBS and Australian Red Cross Modern Slavery Program is designed to build capability within organisations to recognise and respond to Modern Slavery. It is informed and inspired by the experience and resilience of survivors and draws on the perspectives of leading experts and practitioners.

Course overview

The Modern Slavery course is an introductory course designed to help organisations and their employees recognise modern slavery and its impacts and know how to respond to it. It includes interviews with survivors, academics, case workers, police, front-line workers and officers from a range of Federal and State government Agencies.

It is delivered as four modules:

  1. What is Modern Slavery?
  2. Recognising Modern Slavery
  3. Responding to Modern Slavery
  4. Organisations and Modern Slavery

About us

The Modern Slavery program is an ongoing collaboration between the Australian Red Cross and the SBS Inclusion Program, combining Australian Red Cross’s deep understanding of Modern Slavery in Australia with SBS’s storytelling, production and distribution capabilities.
