Australians have a chance to score a piece of pop history in Australian Red Cross Shops, with three pieces from Melanie C's personal archive now making their way into stores as part of a nationwide treasure hunt following the successful 2026 Uber x Australian Red Cross Clothing Drive.
From a tracksuit that sparked headlines during her Australian visit to a sequinned stage suit and a designer dress with links to her girl group era, Melanie C's donated items could be discovered by shoppers anywhere across the Australian Red Cross retail network in the coming weeks.
The surprise hunt comes after thousands of Australians rallied behind this year's Uber x Australian Red Cross Clothing Drive on Saturday 17 October, donating quality pre-loved clothing to help fund Red Cross humanitarian programs.
Lucky shoppers could uncover:
Just like previous celebrity donations from Cody Simpson and Chrishell Stause, Melanie's pieces will be quietly placed into Australian Red Cross Shops, meaning they could appear in a store closer than shoppers expect.
The treasure hunt also shines a spotlight on the power of quality donations. Women's jackets, knitwear and tops remain among the most sought-after items across the Red Cross Shop network, helping stock stores and generate funds for programs that support vulnerable communities in Australia and around the world.
Brooke Sclater, Senior Manager of Australian Red Cross Retail, says:
"We've seen some incredible celebrity donations come through our Red Cross Shops over the years, but finding a piece of Sporty Spice history on the racks is something truly special. That's the magic of op shopping. You never know what you might discover, so we encourage Australians to join the hunt, visit your local store to find some amazing pieces and keep an eye out for Melanie C's iconic outfits and famous tracksuit."
The Uber x Australian Red Cross Clothing Drive has become one of Australia's largest clothing donation events, making it easier for Australians to give their quality pre-loved clothes a second life and helping divert usable clothing from landfill.
If you're planning an op-shopping trip in the coming weeks, keep your eyes open. Somewhere on the racks, Sporty Spice's next look could be waiting.
