Modern slavery is when coercion, threats or deception are used to exploit individuals and deprive them of their freedom. These are serious crimes in Australia and include trafficking people, forced marriage, forced labour, and child labour. Over 1,900 people in Australia are victims of modern slavery. You can raise awareness in your community and help abolish modern slavery in Australia.
