Be a Mate

Effort: Medium | Time: 1-3 hours per week

Having friendships is important for physical and mental health. MATES is a befriending program for people with a diagnosed mental illness who are ready to reconnect to their community. As a volunteer you’ll support them in reaching their goals to help connect with their community. This is done through things such as outings to cafĂ©’s, galleries, men's sheds or social activities of interest.

Check to see if any volunteer roles are available in the Mates programs.
