The Uber X Red Cross Clothing Drive is back on Saturday 21 October!

Between 9am–4pm on Saturday 21 October, you can book a free Uber Package pickup via the Uber app to collect your pre-loved, quality clothes from your doorstep, for donation to Australian Red Cross Shops. Available in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth!

Why donate?

Our shops urgently need high-quality clothing and accessories to sell. This helps us fund critical projects to improve the lives of people experiencing vulnerability in Australia, and overseas. Together, we can make a real difference in someone's life during hardship, disaster, crisis or isolation.

What to donate?

Australian Red Cross Shops need quality clothing and accessories. As a guide, if it’s something you’d feel great about giving to a friend, then it’s perfect to donate! Bonus points for Spring and Summer clothing as these items are currently in high demand.

How to donate

  • Gather your pre-loved items into a bag or box, no heavier than 20kg, so it can comfortably sit in the boot of a midsize car.
  • Open the Uber app > Services.
  • Tap on Package (brown box icon.)
  • Select ‘Send a package’.
  • Enter ‘Red Cross Shop’ as the recipient and select your local Australian Red Cross Shop location.
  • The Australian Red Cross Clothing Drive promotion should automatically apply, so check that the trip is showing as a $0 amount.
  • Confirm, keep an eye on the app and meet the delivery person picking up your donation at the door, or kerbside if you can.
Supporting the planet

Did you know... the average Aussie gets rid of 23kgs* of clothing per year? Shopping second-hand helps conserve environmental resources and reduces landfill waste, so donating your clothes to Australian Red Cross Shops is also a positive step for sustainability.
