The Northern Territory Legal Aid Commission provides free and confidential legal information, referral to other helpful services and legal advice appointments for most legal problems in the NT.
Eligibility: People in the Northern Territory who cannot afford a private lawyer and who meet the Commission’s means and merits tests, with priority for disadvantaged and vulnerable people, including people on low incomes, people in custody, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, refugees and migrants.
