For 72 years, our fantastic volunteers have been calling in their neighbourhoods, schools, workplaces and communities, raising funds for the vital work of Red Cross. And while the unpredictability of COVID-19 means that we won’t be knocking on doors in for Red Cross Calling in March this year, we’ll still be calling on you to continue our proud tradition of mass mobilisation.
We’re still here, helping people who need support. From those in our community who need a friendly ear and much needed chat, to those newly arrived on Aussie shores who need support settling into their new home, we’re there every day to help.
Each year we make more than a million phone calls to people who are isolated. And during COVID-19 we ramped up that effort to include people who need a bit of extra support.
We’d love to have you on board again for our 2021 campaign, raising funds to ensure our support continues. Stay tuned for details about how you can get involved!
Red Cross Calling is a national fundraising drive that happens each March. Your support helps Red Cross be there for people and communities experiencing hardship in Australia and overseas.

Tracy has a full-time office job, which she took time off from to help support those affected by the bushfires.
It’s a phone call Elie and his family waited years for. They waited so long that when it finally came, Elie couldn’t believe it. His mum screamed “Elie, it’s happening!” They were going to a new home – Australia.
