March is Red Cross Calling month – are you in?

Sign up today to knock on those doors, host your heart out or shake your tin!

We want you all in for Red Cross Calling

For over 70 years, we've been reaching out to the community in March to raise funds to support the great work we do. How will you make a difference?

How Red Cross Calling helps

When we all join in, we can make a big difference for people who are striving to make their lives better. That's why we need people like you. When you donate your time or support, you help us to do all the amazing things we do in Australia and right around the world. You could help us support families to rebuild in times of disaster, provide clean drinking water in a remote Pacific village or check in on an elderly Australian living alone.

Here are stories from people Red Cross helps

Jean's Story

Genocide forced Jean to flee Rwanda as a child, and later as a lawyer, his life in Africa was threatened. He fled to Australia for safety – and is thankful to a local couple for helping him settle.

Jan's Story

When Jan was diagnosed with cancer, she drove the arduous trip to and from hospital herself. But exhausted and nauseated from chemo, it soon became impossible.

John's Story

John’s life was turned upside down when Cyclone Debbie hit and the subsequent floods swept his small business. A Red Cross emergency volunteer checked in on him and made him realise someone cared.

Fundraisers holding collections or doorknocking will be provided with an identification badge which we ask them to wear while collecting, they will be carrying a Red Cross Calling receipt book. For public collections, official Red Cross Calling donation buckets with security lids are used.
