SWL end of year celebration, Melbourne - 30 November, 2017

Founding Member and active philanthropist, Lisa Blundell warmly welcomed SWL Members, their partners and guests into her beautiful South Yarra home to celebrate a year of philanthropy and friendship.

We thank Lisa for her exceptional generosity and warm hospitality. Members and guests heard from international aid worker Ruth Jebb who thanked the circle for their support of the aid worker program. Ruth gave a personal and intimate insight into how she feels about her work as a nurse and international aid worker, helping hundreds of women giving birth in horrific war-torn and conflict situations now that she herself is a first-time mum. Members and guests felt honoured to listen to Ruth’s personal journey.

The evening was bookmarked with a very special and unique gift from Lisa for all Members which reminded us about the Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross movement around the world - Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntary Service, Unity and Universality.
