“They started to evacuate patients and employees from the medical centre but…we were instructed not to leave the hospital,” he says “We would be the ones to provide first aid to wounded patients. It was frightening for me but it did not stop us from keeping the facility operational amid the fighting. It’s very sad to see our town, this beautiful city, reduced to ashes.”
