Christine - Lebanon

“I’ve chosen to be a nurse because it means giving hope to patients.”

We make a difference every day in (a) patient’s life especially when they are the most in need to be healed.” Christine works at Rafik Hariri University Hospital, Beirut’s largest public hospital, for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). She hopes to develop her management skills so she can help ensure more treatment equity between all patients.

Lebanon has struggled to cope with the arrival of millions of refugees from nearby countries such as Syria. The hospital, which formed a long term partnership with the ICRC three years ago, provides treatment for vulnerable populations of all nationalities. Photo: ICRC
