Aung - Bangladesh

Aung lost his crop-growing land after hundreds of thousands people fleeing violence in Myanmar started pouring across the border into Bangladesh.

The 62-year-old’s crops went to make way for makeshift shelters. Bangladesh Red Crescent Society has been distributing cash grants to those affected by the influx of people.

"We do not get any day labour jobs anymore as well.” Aung plans to use the grant to set up a homestead-style garden.
