Abdalla - Nigeria

After two attacks on his community, Abdalla lost his son, home and livelihood; but he survived.

The 75-year-old recently walked into his new home. “Before life was difficult. I now eat two times a day … I am so thankful for my new home. I will move in and sleep well again. I am happy.”

With a bigger house his daughter can stay to care for him and he won’t be alone. Abdalla, who is blind, has received money from Red Cross for food, to buy in sheep so he can make an income and help build his new home. Photo: IFRC/Corrie Butler
