On the ground: Humanitarians in Action

A tribute to Australians acting for humanity.

Are you ready to find out what it’s really like to work on the Australian front line of the world’s largest humanitarian network?

In most emergencies, it’s our neighbours, local health professionals and local volunteers who first spring into action. They help communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from crises. So, in a year marked by unprecedented emergencies and challenging lockdowns, we’ve passed on the cameras to these inspiring Australian humanitarians on the ground.

Follow our teams helping Australians recover from the devastating bushfires in 2019/2020, supporting those impacted by Covid-19, and running vital programs to ensure that people are prepared for future emergencies and disasters. You’ll witness first-hand stories of humanity in action – lived, filmed and told by the very people who stepped up to help our communities.
