We're bringing together youth voices from across Australia to guide the way we involve them in our organisation, so that it's easier and more rewarding for young people to be members, volunteers, staff and in governance roles at Red Cross.
We're going to get young people to tell us what their best humanitarian experience is, and then we're going to deliver it.
If you're aged between 16 and 30, or know someone who is, please take our 10-minute survey and ask others to do the same, to help design the ultimate humanitarian experience for young people.
We want to hear from anyone, regardless of whether they are involved with Red Cross or not.
The survey will be open until Saturday 14 April. Here's the link in full:
We'll also be holding focus groups in each capital city, they'll run for about an hour between Saturday 7 April to Wednesday 25 April. If you would like to join one please visit the events listed on facebook (hyperlink to https://www.facebook.com/pg/RedCrossYoungHumanitarians/events/ ) to select the focus group you'd like to take part in.
Once we have collected the views of young people from around the country we will design a new model to involve young people in Red Cross and to help them take action on issues they care about. It will be ready to go in the second half of the year.
