Noel Clement

Director, Australian Programs

Noel Clement was appointed Director of Australian Programs in September 2019 having worked in a variety of senior and executive level roles in Red Cross since 2001, including 3 years as Director, Migration, Emergencies and Movement Relations. He first joined Red Cross to work with asylum seekers. His current portfolio encompasses all Australian humanitarian programs ranging from migration support programs to emergency services, justice, placed-based programming, work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and a significant range of other community programs.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, Noel leads a diverse team of National Program Heads and State and Territory Executive Directors, bringing together both the programmatic and geographic footprints of the organisation in Australia.

Noel has dedicated his career to the not-for-profit sector, including a further 13 years in community health and public housing organisations where he worked in direct service delivery, community development and program leadership roles. He holds a Bachelor of Social Work (PIT) and a Masters of Social Policy and Community Service Management (RMIT).
