Ambassadors

Red Cross Ambassadors champion our work publicly and through their social networks. They give their time and endorsement on a voluntary basis, attending events and appearing in media on behalf of Red Cross as well as providing positive engagement opportunities for our people and giving expert advice in their fields of interest.

This year, we proudly welcomed our first Aboriginal Ambassador, AFL footballer Neville Jetta. Neville will be focusing his support on our juvenile justice mentoring work as well as fundraising events and campaigns.

We were also joined by Dr Munjed Al Muderis, a leading orthopaedic surgeon and former refugee. Munjed’s personal story of fleeing Iraq and seeking protection in Australia makes him a powerful advocate for our humanitarian work supporting vulnerable people seeking asylum.
