In our centenary year we are reaching out to young Australians under the age of 30 more than ever, equipping our organisation to move forward with renewed vitality. The National Volunteers Skills Centre’s research finds that if young people are exposed to a positive first experience with an organisation, they are more likely to volunteer throughout their lives. We build this important early positive experience by empowering a culturally-diverse Youth Leadership Network to keep young people involved in our governance, and by having a membership category specifically for youth.
“The involvement of youth in Red Cross is one of the keys to the future of the movement.”
