The IKEA global Play Report, released this month, identifies five key motivators of why we play. They are to connect, express, explore, repair and escape.
IKEA Australia spokesperson Mark Mitchinson said IKEA believed children were the most important people in the world and that home was a great playground.
“The Let’s Play for Change campaign highlights the importance of play for a better everyday life,” Mark said.
Purchase an IKEA toy this month and gift it to Australian Red Cross by dropping it into the marked boxes in IKEA stores. Your gift will be given to children from newly-arrived migrant families.
