Lady Lawley Cottage: History

Lady Lawley Cottage was the vision of Lady Annie Lawley, the wife of a past Governor of Western Australia, who had sought to establish a cottage by the sea to support and improve the lives of children living with disadvantage, illness or disability.

Lady Lawley Cottage opened its doors in 1903 and was at that time considered a state of the art facility. Throughout the years we have adapted and changed to serve the needs of our clients and families, ensuring our success to the ripe old age of 116 years.

2018 marked our 115 year birthday and to honour this we celebrated with the grand opening of our new sensory gardening area on 8th May. This day also coincided with World Red Cross day and so was an extra special party!
