When you give to Red Cross, you mobilise a movement.

No matter where or when a crisis strikes, Red Cross teams stand ready to help. They are safe hands, trusted friends and a support network to so many in the toughest of times.

When flooding cut off the outback town of Coober Pedy for nearly two weeks in January this year, it was Tracy and Bec – the local Red Cross team – who made a difference to over 100 people left stranded. Some people were out of fuel and funds. Some had sick relatives, urgent medical appointments, school and jobs they couldn’t get to.

That’s the thing about Red Cross. Our teams are already on the ground, ready to help in a crisis, no appointment necessary.

Community support like this is more important than ever before, as new humanitarian crises unfold, and climate change leads to more frequent and severe disasters. Generous supporters like you can help ensure Red Cross is there whenever and wherever we’re needed.
