Red Talks

You’re invited to an exclusive event

We want you to meet the people whose work you’ve helped make possible. Come along to this exciting event and hear stories from the people behind the crises in the news.

The Speakers

Katrina Elliot Myerson, lawyer and international humanitarian protection specialist, talks about her work with armed groups and security forces in conflict zones, including Afghanistan and Rakhine.

Elyshia Ray puts you in the shoes of aid workers on the ground with her stories of real-life international responses to sexual and gender-based violence during international and local disasters.

Antoine Chandonnet, also from Emergency Services, talks about the silent impacts of the drought and flood on individuals, families and communities, and the challenges of working with proud people who are often reluctant to ask for help.

Hosting the event is Associate Professor Wendy Scaife, Director at QUT’s Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies (ACPNS).
