From February 6 to 17, Red Cross is launching Wills for Life Fortnight. This campaign aims to raise awareness about how important bequests are to Red Cross' work now and in the future.
During Red Cross' Wills for Life Fortnight, solicitors from Red Cross' network will help you make or update your Will for only $75, with no obligation to include us.
How will my bequest make a difference?
Last year alone, bequests left to us by kind supporters helped us reach out to people struck by Australia's floods and bushfires, the Christchurch earthquake, and the Japanese earthquake and tsunami.
Your bequest would allow us to prepare for and respond to future emergencies like these - and help countless men, women and children rebuild their lives.
It would also allow us to support future generations of Australian children through our healthy eating programs, such as providing breakfast for children who would otherwise go to school hungry. The simple act of providing breakfast helps these children get an education - and breaks the cycle of disadvantage.
Your bequest would also help us keep supporting the increasing numbers of elderly or housebound Australians who rely on Red Cross telephone services. Our volunteers make 30,000 calls each week to vulnerable people to check on their wellbeing and safety - and it's a service that prevents tragedies from occurring every day.
