Red Cross is committed to an inclusive society where all people are valued, their differences are respected and their basic needs are met. We work to overcome social exclusion by providing bridges for people back into the community.
We promote inclusion through our initiatives and programs, and advocate for people on the margins of Australian society.
These programs focus on four main groups:
- people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless
- people with mental health issues or who are at risk of developing mental health issues
- offenders and their families
- isolated and marginalised older people experiencing multiple disadvantage.
