Now in our second year of partnership, The Vodafone Foundation Australia assists Red Cross in providing support to thousands of Australians in need in a variety of ways. Through their support of REDiSupport, Vodafone is helping to build Red Cross's capacity to respond to disasters and aid recovery efforts. Since the partnership commenced REDiSupport personnel and teams have been formed and trained throughout Australia.
Teams provide timely personal support and additional services to assist people, especially the most vulnerable, during response and recovery from an emergency. Vodafone also provide equipment such as mobile phones for use during an emergency and staff volunteer preparing emergency kits.
With an ongoing commitment to help the community Vodafone continue to be instrumental in developing and delivering the MATES program in ACT. MATES assists socially isolated people to reconnect to their local community and without the support of Vodafone, delivery of the MATES program in ACT would not be possible.
Through a relationship with the Blood Service, Vodafone help deliver technology based solutions for the ongoing recruitment and retention of blood donors. Staff around the country regularly roll up their sleeves and donate blood to assist thousands of people in need.
