VOLUNTEER POSITION PROFILE

Department:          Various

Position:                Administrative Support

Reports to:            Department Manager

Place of work:        Australian Red Cross Victoria
                            23 Villiers Street, North Melbourne

Days working:        Weekdays only (days to be agreed)

Times:                  Any time between 9.00 am – 5.00 pm 
                            (times to be agreed with Department Manager)

Position Context:
 
The Volunteer Development Department receives requests at various times for one-off administrative assistance from various departments within the Australian Red Cross Victoria (ARCV) office.

Principal responsibilities of the role may include:

* Sorting & opening incoming mail
* Collating mail
* Data entry
* Making and answering calls
* Photocopying
* Preparing ARCV presentation folders
* Assistance with other general clerical duties

Specific Requirements:

* Ability to work within the fundamental principles of the Red Cross
* Common sense and initiative
* Ability to work within a team environment and take direction
* Ability to handle calls in a calm and professional manner
* Appropriate computer skills for data entry
* Satisfactory results from a Police records check, and reference checks
