The Corner Inlet Community recognises the Welshpool and District Primary School Junior Red Cross (JRC) as Young Citizens of the Year. Congratulations to the Welshpool and District Primary School JRC Group on receiving the Corner Inlet Community Young Citizens of the Year Award. Megan Roberts shares her thoughts of the day.
'Our Junior Red Cross enjoyed the Australia Day ceremony at Foster. We received the Young Citizens of the Year Award for what we have all done over the years making gifts for children who don't get presents at Christmas and entertaining our Senior Citizens.
'We all received a little badge which was in the shape of the Australian flag and we all loved it and were really happy to get them.
There was a huge lamington which we served to the audience.'
