Community Visitors Scheme
The Community Visitors Scheme is an Australian Government Initiative which offers support and friendship to people living in residential care. Volunteers enhance the quality of life for people who might otherwise have limited access to social interaction.

The volunteers pay regular visits to a person who lives in a residential care facility, offering companionship and friendship. The visit can take many forms such as a walk, playing a game or a chat.

In a typical year, over 100 volunteers make more than 2500 visits to residents of 38 residential care facilities across the South - Eastern Melbourne area and Geelong region.
