This September, Super Retail Group (SRG) is teaming up with Red Cross to help Australians get prepared for disasters.
Thursday September 1, 2016
A disaster can take just seconds to change lives forever, but being prepared makes it so much easier to recover.
This September, Super Retail Group will help us reach thousands of Australians with this important message.
Starting today, and for the duration of the month, Super Retail Group stores such as Rebel Sport, Supercheap Auto, Boating Camping Fishing and Amart Sports will be fundraising for our vital work, helping people to prepare, respond and recover from disasters and emergencies.
They'll be asking customers to round up their purchase with all proceeds going to Red Cross. Even the smallest of donations, just a handful of spare change, will make a difference to people's lives.
Super Retail group will also be helping us kick-start an Australia-wide discussion about what each of us can do to better prepare our families and communities for emergencies.
This activity - and your support through SRG stores - couldn't come at a better time, as we start to leave the cooler months behind.
Last summer alone, Red Cross responded to more than 20 disasters across every Australian state and territory, from major bushfires to floods, storms, heatwaves and tropical cyclones. Throughout all of these disasters, we provided vital support and information to help people recover and get back on their feet.
If you'd like to support our work in disaster preparedness, response and recovery, visit a Super Retail Group store this month (find store locations for each brand via the links above).
