save-a-mate (SAM) Volunteers attend festivals and promote 'safe partying' to festival patrons.
The save-a-mate Program provides education workshops, volunteer opportunities, alcohol and other drug emergency first aid information and health promotion initiatives to young people and those who work with or care for them.
The save-a-mate Volunteer provides assistance at festivals by distributing health promotion information and safe partying messages. The save-a-mate Volunteer also assists people who may need first aid and cares for those in the save-a-mate Chill-Out-Space.
Our save-a-mate Volunteers are outgoing and approachable and have a non judgemental attitude towards drugs and drug users. You must have a genuine interest in supporting and assisting festival patrons and the ability to remain calm in pressurised situation.
