This is the last weekend that you will see Red Cross Calling volunteers knocking, ringing and tapping on doors across the state for Australian Red Cross' largest annual fundraising campaign.
"Not only will we be winding back our clocks this weekend, but we will also be winding down Red Cross Calling," said Dale Cleaver, Executive Director, Australian Red Cross, South Australia.
Volunteer collectors will be out and about at Harvey Norman stores across the state on Saturday and at Sunday's first AFL Match at AAMI Stadium between Port Adelaide and Essendon.
Australian Red Cross volunteers from West Lakes, Cheltenham, Seaton, members of the save-a-mate program and staff will be collecting at the gates before the game and also inside the stadium at half time.
"It is fantastic to have such great support not only from Harvey Norman, the SANFL and the Port Adelaide Football Club, but also that of the community with what is such an important campaign for vulnerable South Australians and Australian Red Cross," concluded Mr Cleaver.
Volunteers will be easily identified, wearing Red Cross clothing and official identification badges.
March is Red Cross Calling month and all monies raised will support local services in South Australia. This year's state target is $585,000.
