Gladstone SA Factory Blast Appeal - Update
11/07/06
The Australian Red Cross Gladstone Factory Blast Appeal is now closed.

Thanks to the generosity of the South Australian public and in particular members of the Northern Areas Council community, more than $97,000 has been raised in addition to the “launch” pledge of $100,000 from the State Government.

The State Emergency Relief Fund Committee, chaired by The Hon Rob Kerin, Member for Frome, is overseeing the Gladstone Factory Blast Appeal and its distribution. They are also working in collaboration with the members of the “Football for Gladstone Appeal” to ensure that the funds reach those most in need and in the most timely manner.

The funds raised will assist the families of the deceased and the injured workers.

Australian Red Cross wishes to thank everybody who contributed to the Appeal – your contribution is a living example of the power of humanity
