Eastern Australia floods 2012

Flooding across southwest Queensland and northern New South Wales in February 2012 left thousands of properties and buildings flooded or isolated. During this time thousands of people in flood-affected towns across the region were assisted by more than 250 Red Cross staff and volunteers in evacuation and recovery centres and at their homes.

Red Cross continues to provide support to people who are cleaning-up from the floods. Recovery from an emergency can be long and difficult and Red Cross will continue to help communities through this time.
