Development programs
Australian Red Cross supports the International Federation with its work in disaster management and development by providing skilled field personnel and mobilising resources within Australia. In addition, Australian Red Cross works with other Red Cross or Red Crescent Societies within their own territory to help improve the lives of the most vulnerable.
Emergency relief
Australian Red Cross responds to international emergencies and disasters by providing support to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (Federation) throughout the world, but in particular in the Asia Pacific region.
IHL
International Humanitarian Law (IHL) is part of international law. A major part of IHL is found in the four Geneva Conventions of 1949, by which nearly every State in the world has agreed to be bound.
