Humanitarian Pledge Program  

Become a Red Cross Humanitarian and pledge your support today! You will join a special group of people who are helping to ensure that Red Cross’ services will continue to be provided to those in need.



What is the Humanitarian Pledge Program?

The needs of vulnerable people in NSW are growing, thereby increasing the demand on Red Cross to respond to those needs. Therefore, the Humanitarian Pledge Program encourages people like you to support our work by making regular and reliable donations.

Tax-deductible donations are made by automatic direct debit from a credit card or bank account on a monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annual basis.

The Pledge Program is a hassle-free and efficient way for you to be there for people in need. Because it means less administration, the money you donate will have an even greater impact where it is needed most.

What your pledge means for your community

  • Automatic regular donations are one of the most cost-effective ways to support Red Cross as the traditional costs associated with fundraising are removed.
  • With your ongoing pledge, Red Cross can confidently plan programs and services in advance to have an even greater impact in local communities.


How the Humanitarian Pledge Program works

  • Donations are automatically deducted from your nominated account, at a frequency requested by you. You donation is processed on the 20th of the month in which your donation is due. Should the 20th fall on a non-business day, we will debit your account the next business day.
  • All donations over $2 are tax deductible, with one receipt issued for all your donations at the end of the tax year.


Is it safe to hand out my personal information?


Yes. Australian Red Cross NSW is committed to respecting your privacy. The personal information you provide remains private and confidential and will only be used for the purposes of the Humanitarian Pledge Program.
