Most Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies are active in first aid training. Access to this large amount of international experience, advice and training material is an invaluable asset to Australian Red Cross as we aim to maintain quality and expertise in the delivery of first aid services and the production of training material.
First aid training is one of the component parts of the National First Aid, Health and Safety Services (FHS) program of the Australian Red Cross. First Aid, Health and Safety Services have an office in each state and territory in Australia, as well as in some regional centres. There is an ongoing process of checking and endorsing courses, to ensure they remain current. Australian Red Cross works within the policy statements of the Australian Resuscitation Council.
