A magnitude 6.2 earthquake has struck central Italy claiming lives, injuring others and leaving many homeless.

Italian Red Cross search and rescue teams are racing to help those affected by an earthquake which has severely damaged towns near the city of Perugia.
While the situation is still unfolding, media reports are that at least 10 people have been killed and others are trapped in the rubble.
Red Cross medical teams, including 20 ambulances, are arriving to support the rescue operations.
Local Red Cross volunteers are providing first aid and personal support to people affected.
All Italian Red Cross emergency centres have been activated and are helping coordinate assistance across the country.
