Our new Red Cross Shop officially opens in Woden on Thursday 3 December.
As part of our Red Cross family, we hope you'll be able to visit the store to help us celebrate.
Date: Thursday 3 December, 2015
Time: 10:30am (or throughout the day)
Place: 20 Bradley St, Woden, opposite the bus exchange
What you'll find when you visit our new store
Stylist to the stars, Op shop devotee and Red Cross ambassador Alex van Os will be finding ways to upstyle your wardrobe using the donated clothing and accessories at the Woden store. Meanwhile, it's a great opportunity to pick up a loyalty card, meet new Red Cross shop volunteers, and enjoy a spot of shopping in the lead-up to Christmas.
What the Woden store means for our work
By shopping at the Woden Red Cross Shop, you can turn a summer top into a phone call for an elderly person. You can swap trendy jeans for clean drinking water in a remote village in Myanmar, or transform a box of books into a hot meal for a young homeless person. Proceeds from all sales at the store help vulnerable people in our local communities and further afield.
How you can help our new store thrive
Volunteer your time. A minimum of 4 hours a week will help us run our store, while being a rewarding experience for you. Apply here.
Donate quality items. Whether you're doing a clean-out of your cupboards, perhaps after Christmas or for a spot of Spring Cleaning, please consider donating your quality items in-store. Proceeds go towards our everyday work - plus, you'll be helping us to rescue 450 tonnes of clothing from landfill each year!
Shop when you're in the area. Every time you buy something from our Woden Red Cross Shop, you're helping us raise funds to bring care and comfort to people in need.
