Damien was born with down syndrome. After his father died and his brother moved overseas, he had little regular male companionship for many years. Tim is a Red Cross volunteer. Not a social worker or a psychologist, just an ordinary bloke who wants to help a vulnerable young man feel more connected to his community by playing sport with him and just being his mate.
