A little contribution each pay means the world to vulnerable people...
Workplace Giving is a simple yet powerful way for employees to assist Australian Red Cross in delivering services to vulnerable communities through dollars received via regular payroll deductions.
Once established, Workplace Giving provides both Australian Red Cross and your organisation with a low cost and low maintenance way to support the community.
By supporting Australian Red Cross through Workplace Giving you will help:
- disadvantaged children and young people
- the aged, frail and socially isolated
- disadvantaged families
- people with mental health concerns
- indigenous communities
- homeless people
- asylum seekers and refugees
- immigration detainees
- victims of disaster.
How it works
Workplace Giving donations are deducted from your employees' salary before tax is applied, thus reducing taxable income. Furthermore, because donations are made pre-tax, it only costs each employee 52 cents for every dollar they pledge*. The Australian Taxation Office pays the balance.
* based on a marginal tax rate of 48.5%
No amount is too small to make a positive difference to the lives of disadvantaged people.
A little contribution each pay can mean:
| $20 per month |
a healthy breakfast daily for one child who would otherwise go hungry |
| $25 per month |
daily telephone contact to an isolated elderly person to ensure their safety and wellbeing |
| $35 per month |
training for one young person on how to prevent, recognise and manage emergencies from mental health issues and alcohol and other drug use |
Workplace Giving is a vital income stream for Australian Red Cross, and we invite you to download the Workplace Giving Information Booklet or contact us for further information and assistance.
