First National Foundation has partnered with Red Cross in support of our emergency services work in Australia.
Red Cross is delighted to partner with First National Real Estate, one of Australia's largest real estate groups, through its philanthropic division, First National Foundation.
First National Foundation commenced its association with Red Cross in 2007, and has already contributed over $1 million in support of our emergency services work in Australia. As increasing importance is placed on emergency preparedness with a changing environment and an escalation in the number and severity of natural disasters, First National Foundation is helping Red Cross to expand its capacity and expertise to play a major role in emergency management for the benefit of communities right across Australia.
With active involvement from over 400 First National Real Estate offices, First National Foundation has committed a minimum of $200,000 to Red Cross through fundraising activities including movie nights, sausage sizzles, cycling challenges and auctions, as well as donations of commissions from property sales and rentals.
First National agents are also helping to distribute Emergency REDiPlan information in their local communities and some have taken up the opportunity to become Red Cross Emergency Services volunteers to lend hands-on assistance in times of emergency.
First National Foundation and Red Cross aim to strengthen communities and to reduce the impact of emergencies when they strike. Red Cross looks forward to a long and productive association with First National Foundation and its members and to building stronger communities around Australia.
In recognition of its major partnership investment, which also includes significant promotional support, First National Foundation has been granted status as a National Humanity Partner of Red Cross.
